Kathi McDonald was an absolutely stunning singer who sang background vocals with Joe Cocker – Mad Dogs and Englishmen, Big Brother and the holding Company, Ike and Tina Turner, The Rolling Stones (Exile on Main Street) and many more wonderful artists.

I met Kathi while playing saxophone in Long John Baldry’s band. Long John’s version of “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling” which featured a great duet performance by Kathi and John was on the charts at that time, so there was a lot of touring.

In 1990, along with the excellent guitarist and writer John King, we produced the tracks for the Kathi McDonald – “Save Your Breath” album. Here are a few tracks from those sessions.
