This was my album released on Tembo Records (RCA) with a strong latin influence. I was really digging Gato Barbieri at the time.

Great rhythm section with Lou Pomanti on piano, Earl Marek and Hugh Brockie on guitars, Garth Vogan on bass, Vito Rezza on drums and Memo Acevedo on congas and percussion. The horn section was Peter Jeffrey – trumpet and flugelhorn, Terri Lukiwiski – trombone, RM – tenor sax, Don Englert – baritone sax and Russ Little trombone solo on “Aruba”. Background vocals beautifully performed by Shawne Jackson, Colinna Phillips and Sharon Lee Williams.

Writing collaborations included Marty Morrell (Bill Evans) on “Amazon Delight”, Bruce Ley on “Trampa Samba” and Hugh Brockie on Gamemaster. Excellent arrangements by Earl Marek. We also featured the new Fairlight Computer system on “Trampa Samba” programmed by John Forbes.
